Tolstoy did this same thing back in 1889 with a novella called “The Kreutzer Sonata” based from Beethoven’s “Kreutzer Sonata”. So this idea has been around for a while.

I’ve seen something similar to this when I was younger.
L. Ron. Hubbard had a series of books ( a “dekology”, I believe) called Mission Earth. I remember my sister had a compact disc with a soundtrack of sorts inspired by the books.
Still a very good idea…
