It’s quite amusing …
It’s quite amusing how, historically, and in modern times, the WTBTS has blasted the Catholic Church for being Satanic, an organization of lies and false ministers, but gladly brags and cites the Catholic Encyclopedia whenever what it has to say supports their own lies and Satanic teachings.

“Major modern” does not refer to its scholarly accuracy, but to the number of copies printed and distributed, and says nothing about the WTBTS’s interpretation of Bible passages for the purposes of giving weight to their ever changing doctrines of supposed “truth”.

If Christendom’s ministers are Satanic, therefore liars, should we trust what the Catholic Encyclopedia has to say regarding the? NWT? There are quite enough proven errors in the NWT.

@PublishingCult I would love to see someone interview witnesses and ask them if they ever take part in shunning. We all do. We have to shun any DFed person in the hall. We teach our children to shun as well. So when they grow up we have to watch ourselves or they will shun us. I think teaching children to shun and telling them that billions of people deserve to die is child abuse.

@inspirediam, lol, exactly. When non-JW ministers promulgate falsehoods, they are Satanic. When the WTBTS and JW’s promulgate falsehoods, they have simply “fallen short due to imperfection”. It’s time JW’s consider the idea that instead of blindly following whatever the GB says, openly question and debate the teachings of the GB if for no other reason and justification than the fact that the GB DOES OFTEN FALL SHORT DUE TO IMPERFECTION and has to revise its version of truth time and again.

Yes, it has been. Both publications, TMSGB and the Benefit book have “ministry school” in the title. Any JW knows this. They also know that the weekly meeting they attend is called “the Ministry School”. I personally found it shocking and amusing that these “promulgators of truth” emphatically denied or blatantly LIED about any connection or reference to being any kind of minister whatsoever.

@PublishingCult You know what though, I never really felt comfortable saying it. It was as if I didn’t quite buy it myself and yet I had to convince other people it was true. I got very unsettled when someone did use reasoning with me, the JW I was with at the time said it was Satan’s way of confusing us and undermining our faith. Guess she was programmed as much as I was.
