Have you ever had your manuscript rejected by mainstream publishers - like 96% of submissions?
We are seeking authors of non-fiction English language works. We are seeking specialist topics for publishing. We are looking for authors for any topic of all non-fiction genres.
‘Bricks and mortar’ publishing has traditionally taken the view that any book must have very high saleability, otherwise there is little interest. This has been because of the high costs associated with having a print run. At Cranston & Crawford we are using new technology to get potential publications into print as soon as possible. We have an expert team of literary professionals. Our editorial and proofing staff are all tertiary qualified in the fields of:- literature, linguistics, semantics, syntax, connotation, collocation and typographical methodologies.

At Cranston & Crawford, our process is innovative and leading edge. We receive submissions. We review the submissions rapidly. If the submission is successful, the next stage is to progress to editing , structure, photography / illustration, style / layout. We then produce an e-book.

In consultation with the potential author, we commence a strategic marketing programme, utilising new internet technology to gain sales of the e-book immediately. For example, once the e-book has been produced, we create a website solely for your book. You are able to monitor the sales of your own work. We have e-commerce technology in place to accept commercial payments, using the PayPal backbone. We use many types of internet technology to market your book. These include:- search engines, eBay, specialty forums, Youtube and other social networking platforms. Our marketing staff use leading edge internet technology to market your book, to your specialised niche market of readers.
The e-book itself supports a generous royalty program. The e-book proceeds also allow for further expenditure on the work at no cost to the author. This could include improved photography / illustration, expansion of topics or further content. E book proceeds would also be used to fund a hard copy paper print run.
After a paper print run (hard copy) is completed, the author receives a percentage of the books at no cost. We then commence a program of marketing the hard copy of the book to existing clients who have already bought the e-book. We also commence further marketing initiatives to the niche reader group. This is an absolutely revolutionary idea. We are using new technology to its fullest.
Some of our editorial staff and directors have come from traditional ‘bricks and mortar’ enterprises, where traditional publishing is very highly competitive and costly and a different business ethic applies. On the other hand, others have come from Internet type publishing enterprises, without the traditional support. Therefore we are using the best of both worlds to obtain successful outcomes for your work.

This is your opportunity to be published, to be out there and to be successful. We want you to be successful - your success is our success.

If you have a manuscript that may have been rejected and you seriously want to be published, why not send us your work for review. We are seeking specialist non - fiction authors, who want to reach their niche audience.

Book Promotion Idea

Writing a book is the easy part–marketing and promoting it takes REAL effort and determination if you want to sell more than a dozen–especially if you’re a self-published author. Here’s an marketing idea I can up with at the spur of the moment while on a beach getaway weekend with my husband. No one had ever heard of my book but it definitely piqued their interest. The key to this video is to learn to PROMOTE yourself and your book no wherever you go!

The Book Channel TV Trailer

New UK TV show opens up marketing channel for authors

The Book Channel, which launches on 20 April 2009 with its debut programme on Sky 166 and Freesat 402 at 7.30 pm, is creating a new medium for authors wishing to market their books. The programme is the brainchild of ex-ITV programme-maker, Richard Flewitt, Fred Perkins, CEO of Information TV, and Paul Hammond, entrepreneur.

Each 30 minute programme carries three author interviews plus an expert advice slot to guide budding authors through the process of writing a book and getting published. As well as being broadcast three times on Sky 166 and Freesat 402 the programmes are also available on The Book Channel website: www.bookchannel.tv, where viewers can get more information about the authors and books and can purchase the books if desired. Authors can also embed the programmes into their own websites for marketing purposes.

Programme producer Richard Flewitt says, Our intention is to make The Book Channel a high quality programme that book lovers will use as a source of inspiration and information, and authors will want to be on. Some very good quality and interesting books are being published but because they dont have a celebrity name on them, they dont get the publicity or marketing budgets behind them to help sales or even just raise awareness. The Book Channel is going to change this and provide a marketing channel for all books

Presenter of The Book Channel programme is Tina Bettison. Author of three books of humour published by Hodder and Stoughton, including the bestseller 100 Ways for a Horse to train its Human, she also co-presents the Saturday morning Girls on Top show on commercial radio station Boundary Sound.

The Book Channel is an absolutely dream show for me, she says. Having been through the book publishing process myself three times, and having a general background in publishing, I really understand what these authors are going through. The programme brings together three of my favourite pastimes: books, presenting and interviewing interesting people with great stories.
