Ms Davis will discuss how she got rejected nearly 100 times by publishers, agents and editors and what was going through her mind as she couldn’t get published. After going with Infinity, a print-on-demand publisher, she became a bestseller for the publishing house, won a Best Book Award from BlackRefer.com and got invited for an interview on C-SPAN’s Book TV.
Ms. Davis will talk about how her book and publishing story have made an impact on her community locally, especially for school children, as well as nationwide. She also shares how important it is to our society that she wrote her book and shared her personal story which took place during the Civil Rights Movement.
