“Finally the conference in Barcelona was cancelled by the decision of the owner of the Libreria Europa bookshop and David Duke.
The police had orders to identify all the people in the venue, to oversee all the documents of Mr. Duke, to record the conference, to stay in the room and interrupt the speech if something against the spanish laws was said.
Also the police and the antifas sorrounded the streets next to the bookshop, making very difficult the access.
Pedro Varela said that this requirements by the regional police is an attack against the freedom of speech and the intimacy of the audience. Also said that this was a violation against the freedom of thought, the equality before the law, and the prohibition of previous censure.
David Duke said, among other things, that it was a sad day for Spain, because the freedom of speech has been opressed in Barcelona.
Finnally both of them made a press conference in the street during 40 minutes.
