Part One: Book Presentation by Publisher - “The Main Street Wire” Author - “Jadwiga’s Crossing”
New York City newspaper publisher of “The Main Street Wire,” returns to his home town, Dunkirk, NY to make a presentation about a novel he has written “Jadwiga’s Crossing” about the coming of Polish immigrants to Dunkirk. The presentation was made at the Fourth Ward Polish-American Kosciuszko Club in Dunkirk. The publisher/novelist is introduced by another Polish-American Dunkirk native, author and a SUNY Buffalo State College Professor, who wrote the prize winning book, “Polish-American Folklore” based on research conducted in the Dunkirk-Fredonia area and WNY region. The event was sponsored by Polish-American Dunkirk natives: by an oral surgeon who was master of ceremonies, by the event coordinator and videographer, a retired college math professor who acts as both authors’ WNY book publicist and by the Dunkirk Kosciuszko Club.
